Stunning Journal Cover Workshop – January 17, 2026 ( new journal book included)
Start the new year with a beautiful handmade journal! This in-person class will be held in Fallbrook, California, on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (lunch included).
We’ll be creating a soldered journal cover embellished with vintage lace, a solder-stamped heart, and many more special touches. This is not a beginner's class—you’ll be using your torching skills throughout the project.
If you’d like to learn torching before the workshop, I offer private classes—just message or email me to schedule a session and get you ready for January!
Private classes are during the week and they are from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. lunch included price $170

100-watt soldering iron with flat tip and stand
Sponge
Heat-resistant glove (or garden glove)
8" or larger heat-resistant brick OR two heat-resistant honeycomb bricks
Butane torch with fuel (please contact me if you’d like help purchasing the one I use)
Burnishing tool
Tim Holtz-style scissors (for cutting copper sheets)
Tim Holtz cling red rubber stamps (available at Frank Garcia Studio online)
E6000, 3-in-1, or Gorilla Glue
6 large clamps (Dollar Tree has them)
X-Acto knife
Metal block and jewelry hammer
Needle-nose pliers
